Kim started drawing since first grade due to her love of marine life after visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the first time when she was about 5 years old. From then on, she knew that she either wanted to be a Marine Biologist or an artist—possibly both.
She has worked as an artist and designer for the Walt Disney Company and Disney-ABC Television Network, designer at movie advertising boutiques, as well as other marketing agencies as a creative, having up to eight years of industry experience.
She currently works as a independent contractor for illustration, graphic design, and art direction.
Her art has always been inspired by video games, comics, and events from her childhood. When it comes to learning, she's not afraid of change and will adapt as she sees fit. Her subjects intend to fall into the scheme of what makes people smile and laugh.
When she's not creating, she searches for random hole-in-the-wall cafes, finds trails to get scraped up, art books and art, reads a lot, and eats a lot of avocados.
She is currently living in Los Angeles, CA
